New Plex Remote for the iPhone Thursday, April 21, 2009 - 11:51 AM EST Posted by: Brian
Aargh-a-Knot, a member of the forums, has created a hot new Plex remote for the iPhone. In fact, I think it has been
the talk of our Mac mini HTPC forum for about the last week. Why you might ask? Well, it's probably one of the best looking and most functional remotes around for controlling the
Plex media center on your iPhone. He actually created the remote using the
Snatch trackpad and remote application for the iPhone, which received a major update to version 3.0 earlier this month. This version of the application makes it possible for users to save and load remote layouts to and from their desktop, and install
pre-made remotes downloaded from the Snatch website. They currently have remotes available for Plex, EyeTV, Front Row and Windows Media Center, as well as a numeric keypad for your Mac.
If you're interested in learning more about Aargh-a-Knot's remote for Plex, I suggest that you head on over to his website. He just posted a
new article explaining how to install and use the remote in greater detail. All you really need is the
Snatch application running on your iPhone or iPod touch and the
Snatch Server running on your Mac. He'll walk you through the rest.
